Color Preferences

After taking this image, I thought it could possibly work in a couple different colors, but I can't decide which! My question to you is, which image do you prefer? Also, if you want to take a guess at which one is the original color, feel free to do that too. Thanks in advance!

The original was the Blue..... I don't believe there are any purple hydrangeas, at least none that I have seen. There are many that are pink, but the original was the blue!

i would go with pink because it catches the eye faster. however i would shoot the blue plant from 3 angles, and make them 3 colors. this way it doesn't look like you tampered with it.

these flowers change color depending on the PH of the soil and where the roots are. its possible to have all those colors on one plant. though i'm not sure i have seen that exact shade of purple myself.

I like the pink one best, too. My eye went directly to that one. Very nice. I'm not a fan of different colored versions of the same photo. Some artists go way overboard on that, like throwing everything up there hoping one will stick. If you can't decide, put it away for a while and come back to it later.

The pink one is not correct in white balance.

When you decide you could make it a transparency with a choice of flower colours for some products.

Parker, I'd choose the blue -- and bet most buyers will, too.

There are definitely purple hydrangeas out there -- all varieties of purple. I had a huge hydrangea in the back yard that was purple, on occasion. Nudge your soil toward neutral or slightly acid and, voila! Purple!

White hydrangeas stay white, but you can play 'colors' with most pink and/or blue varieties. I think they're all gorgeous, and butterflies like them, too. :-)

the "blue " looks as if the greens and white are correct, kinda of like the purple all though it seems as if it is shades of pinks.

I prefer the blue one.... I am not a "pink and purple" girl so blue suits me :)

I like the blue the best.

Well, seems like blue and pink are generally the most liked! Earlier today I was leaning towards the pink, but the more I look at it the more I like the crispness of the blue. For those who were wondering, the original image is #2.

I like all of them and would post all for people to have a choice but that's just me . Also, I have seen all those colors in those plants and you can also change the color of them by adding food coloring when you plant. I did it and it does work.

Very interesting JoNeL!

The green leaf on the pink one doesn't look like a healthy green.

Blue is my favorite, and I think it is the original.

I'm partial to the original purple. But I'm a fan of purple. Leave the blue up though, looks good and probably matches more people's homes.
James - he said the original is the purple.

My eye personally ran to the blue.

I love the purple one the best. I could say it feels more natural, but I think it is because I just like purple.

I like the pink best, I thought the purple was the original....what's my prize?
Doesn't hurt to leave them all up.

Hi, I'm brand new here, but I had to chime in. The pictures are lovely - I would post all of them and let the buyer decide.

By the way, pink hydrangeas that haven't had their acid feeding in time turn purple on their way to blue You get some interesting color effects that way, LOL! I know because I'm looking out the window at mine that I forgot to feed with the acid base earlier this spring :-)

They all look so good. But I like the blue. The flowers looks fresh and it really does look attractive.

Thank you all for your feedback! I think I am going to keep them all up now :) Thanks again!

I agree with Jonel. I think, given the subject, that this is one of the few instances where it is perfectably acceptable to offer all three.
