Anyone know why the pinterest buttons don't work?

I was able to pin this morning, no problem. Yours seem to be up and functional as well.

How does Pinterest help us? If people pin the art, they don't want to buy it...

You can't buy what you can't see.

I often use Pinterest as a running shopping list, just as I do with my Favorites here at FAA. I may not be able to purchase the moment I find it, but when I'm ready, I want to be able to know where to go to pick it up.

I was wondering what the benefit was. I have a piece that's been pinned 237 times but not bought once😳

Perhaps it will take 237 pins before it reaches the Pinterest user who wants to put it up in their home. At the very least, it gives you an idea what people are responding to, and frankly, when someone does consider buying it, having seen the pin, they may be more likely if they see it has been well-pinned. People often like to know that their choices are popular with others.

I could not add a pin on Pinterest earlier today either. If that is what you mean.

Thanks for the encouragement. I guess I just need to look at it optimistically rather than negatively.

I used to work in the Direct Mail industry. Retailers will send out hundred of thousands of ads with the full knowledge that only a relative handful will respond. They are willing to spend that money to catch those few who will buy their products.

Edward, it may literally take 1000 people to see something before it gets to that one person that might buy it. The cost to you is just your time. Your reaching many people for very little effort.

My most popular art piece has over 11 thousand views on FAA but has not had one sale on FAA.

But one day...

Roy, my Pinterest link is working okay from my AWS.

10,500 of those 11,000 are probably bots. I stopped caring about view counts when I realized 90% of them were from the same 5 or 6 locations.

Agreed. I guess the upside is that if it gets pinned, you have viewer with a pulse instead of a program.

How do I add or link my Pinterest to my links?
I can't seem to find it.

You go to behind the scenes, find the option under marketing that says share buttons, and then you put a check next to Pinterest.

Driving appreciators to my site is welcome.

Pinterest earlier today June 1 wrote back to me. The black screen BUG has been
fixed. I have added a few images from my AW over there. I have a couple more to add.

The bug seems to be associated with their new Pin It button for Chrome browsers. Anyway
it is fixed.

IF I am looking at an image and the "Pin it" shows up in the upper left - I can pin an image. the button in the upper right doesn't work and I cannot log into pinterest itself to my account. any ideas? at the bottom it says "waiting for Pinterest" and the thing just spins and spins
