Square Image Positioning Problems On Upload...again >:(

I hope my memory isn't failing me because I'm nearing my 55th birthday, but my square images do not fit the image positioning thing again on upload.

When Sean first rolled out the new changes it had a few hiccups and was fixed, or so I thought. Just a day or two ago I was able to upload a 6000x6000 image and it fit perfectly in all of the customizations. I didn't have to enlarge the image at all.

Now, it's reverted back to the way it was previously. I can't get it to fit the cell phone at all on upload or at the product page.

My pillows and duvets have to be enlarged at both points to their maximum. This makes the pattern on my images bigger and I do not want that.

I thought I found the perfect size at 6000x6000 and planned all my pattern sizes accordingly. Now I have to go back and redo all of the patterns as I dont want HUGE repeating patterns on my products, and a cell phone product that can't be used.

Why is there no consistency?? Sorry for being a bit PO'd but this is not right.

why not just flip the phone to vertical positioning? It will fit the same way the other one fits... most of my work is square and I use a vertical positioning for many because of that.

Val, it's square. Wont matter which way it goes. And I just uploaded the image again hoping it was just a one time glitch, but it's not. The phone is now vertical. Check it out, it won't fit. Some of my other pattern images are the same size and they fit fine.

I take part of that back. It will fit once I'm on the product page. But it was all working fine a day or two ago. Plus my duvet and pillow patterns are not supposed to be so huge. It's enlarging it by about 30%.

Abbie, any idea when this will be resolved? My 6000x6000 image will no longer fit the cell phone covers, but will fit a product thousands of times larger.

sharon a customer will have to enlarge the image for phone cover works both ways vertical/horizontal i tried with your image posted,with pillows/ duvet covers it shows the image covering entire area maybe it is a glitch...

The rule of 5000x5000 doesn't apply anymore. Could that be the problem with rectangular phone cases?

Sharon - I don't offer phone cases for many of my images but just tried a couple of different square images I have already uploaded and I was able to enable phones with them no problem - yes covering the whole case from top to bottom unlike the thumbnail you have above.

Maybe a browser problem? Have you tried a different one to see if you have the same issues on another browser?

Or perhaps I'm not following the issue you're having with positioning problems?
