Edit Image And Group Submission

I am going through my images one by one to reposition them for each product. When I first uploaded I also clicked on a group or groups to submit them to. I notice that those groups are still checked. When I click submit to save the reposition changes are those groups getting inundated with the same submissions. Please don't get angry with me for so many submissions to your group per day when this is what is happening. Do I need to unclick those groups before clicking submit?
