All Your Eggs In One Basket?

Hello everyone,I'm new to this site and fairly new to selling my art online. Previously my work was done for personal enjoyment and I made a dime here and there but with the encouragement of my father (also a artist) I decided try and do this in a more professional setting. I've been searching this site and the web absorbing all the information I can find like a sponge. One piece of advice I came across was to post your work in several different places(zazzle,cafepress,society6 and etc) does anyone else do this? I'm on several sites including my own personal page and I'm already feeling stretched thin. Is it best to have your work on one site and direct all your social media connections to that one place or to post your work in as many places as possible.Opinions?

I'm sure someone will be around to answer your question, I just wanted to say you do exceptional work! And I don't say that very often. -W

every pod wants you to be loyal to them so no one can compare and get a better deal. though that theory is nice if people did that, and i don't think that many do. any place can shut down all of the sudden, sell their store, die, or whatever and you will be out of a store. i suggest you go into as many as possible, but try to keep your prices about the same in each store.

Except for Shows & Gallery Co ops - all my eggs are in one basket.

I'm too busy, & just too tired to try to keep my fingers in several different pots.

FAA is the best - so I shall display here. Done.

Thanks Wingsdomain! My gallery is tiny right now but I try to post at least one new image a week.

Cheri -- Welcome to the FAA family!

The best advice I know to give you is to follow Barney Davey, you'll find his articles in the weekly FAA email that you get.

Here is his recent article which I think is sound advice, similar to what Mike just said, I suggest you market with a blog so no matter where you sell ( your shopping cart is ) people know where to find you.

Hope this answers your questions and is helpful to you. Enjoy your day!

if you have more images, you should put them all in now. it takes a while before google and the rest picks up on it. one a week won't help you that much. be sure to advertise your here.

@Janine Riley- I understand you perfectly. I'm not a social person and I find being on various networking sites to be very tiring, but I'm determined to try.
@Frank J Casella - My poor blog. I guess I now have more reasons to work on it.
@Mike Savad- Sadly most of my previous work has been lost due to computer crashes or was done for recreational purposes and isn't print quality. I'll try and step my game up.
