Cost And Vat

So here I am in FineArtEngland, and I found an image I was thinking of buying as a greetings card.
But I'm totally confused about pricing.
First of all, the price says £3.66, then on the same page, the total is £5.72, with no explanation as to why the very different prices.
If it was for the addition of VAT, it would need to say so, plus VAT on greetings cards in the UK is 20%, so that would be a total of £4.39, not £5.72.
Then when checking out, there is 0 sales tax, which is correct, but no mention of VAT.
And the shipping cost of £3.80 is very high.
(For American readers, £9.53 is $14.91 for one greetings card, and I don't know if I'd still have to add 20% VAT onto that.)
Link to screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about: Greetings Card

You need to contact Customer Support. I have no idea why the disparity in prices on that page. http://fineartamerica.com/contactus.html

Thank you for the contact, and I appreciate that you wouldn't necessarily know that.
But should customers really have to do that?
I'll feed back the reply.

First feedback:
FAA's system truncated my first SM via the link above, but I repasted my post to the reply email and got this reply:

"Can you tell me what image on our site you are referring to?
I would like to go in a have a look...
I haven't seen this happen before.
We are fully automated, so there is always a reason as to why the price would change.

The VAT is something that is not added to the total cost on our site at all. That's
something that we do not cover."

I emailled back with the discovery that the price discrepancy showed on every one of a lot of random images I clicked on.
Also I queried the 'not covering VAT' statement.

That was over 24 hours ago, no further reply to either query.
I'll keep you posted.

OK, so ten days after I posted the details asked for, still no reply.
Price discrepancy still showing, on all images I've clicked on, here's one I screendumped five minutes ago: price discrepancy, and no explanation about when I'd have to pay the VAT.

Sorry, artist: I had to buy a card elsewhere, as it was time sensitive.

On VAT, all I could find was this page, but still no detail of how or when it's payable.

Is Customer Support usually this slow?

Not in my spam folder, and not showing in a complete search of my email folders.
All I have relating to this is the original auto reply, and the human reply, both on 13th May. I replied to the first human reply, giving details of the specific file I was looking at, and adding that the discrepancy was showing on each of a number of random files I checked.
I also asked for a clarification of the VAT system. When selling small goods like cards or phone covers in the EU, it's hardly worth it already with PayPal fee and currency conversion fee, without suddenly being hit by a demand for 20% VAT from HMRC down the line ... I really want clarification of this as a seller as well as a would-have been buyer.
