E-mail Campaign Form

I haven't used E-Mail Campaigns but I'm creating one now. I noticed the fineartamerica link is attached to the form so it shows up at the bottom without me typing it. I'm trying to tell my potential customers about my pixels.com link so this is distracting. Are we supposed to be still using fineartamerica addresses? Any benefit to show both?

I would not waste my time doing anything that sends the buyer to Pixels or FineArtAmerica. Within a few clicks they are going to be lost in a sea of over 2 million images and they are never going to find their way back or find you images once that happens.

Send people to your AW. You are the only one on your AW. Captive audience.

Promote yourself, not a hundred thousand other members and over 2 million images.

As I posted 10 days ago, and one or two times previously in the Weekly Suggestion threads:

"When generating an email campaign using our AW site, have the clickable link in the header be for the "......artistwebsites.com", instead of reading "....fineartamerica.com". Kind of defeats the purpose of having a personal AW site if we're going to provide a path to everyone else's work."

I don't think we can change the FAA link even from our AW site.

Nope, when doing an email campaign from our AW, the clickable link on the "email" is for FAA and unchangeable.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I've never promoted AW. I actually didn't recognize what AW was first. I thought it used to have the links to your blog and events or something. Since I didn't have a blog or events that my AW looked incomplete, and I never bother to promote. Anyway, I guess I should be start using the site. That'll be a big change for me, and I hope I can see some result.

Someone asked about this the other day and unfortunately it is way down the list of things to be looked at

I seached the subject before posting my question. Several related threads showed up but not about my question.

The thing is, I don't why so many people think they are locked into using FAA's features.

Do you own email and put whatever links you want. Depending on how big your list is, you may be able to get away with sending just 10 or 12 a day and get them all sent out. That way you have total control of what links are or are not in the email.

There are several email services out there. Several here are using MailChimp(?) is that the name of it? I use Constant Contact myself.

Same thing with doing any promotions. Some one said the other day they wish Sean would do more promotions for us to opt into. But you don't need Sean. Do you own promotions you don't have to wait for Sean. Take charge of your own destiny. Don't sit around waiting for Sean or anyone else to do anything for you that you can do for yourself. Fact is you can be doing a different promotion every month or have several going on at the same time.

By using the tools here, you are promoting FAA as much as yourself. There are plenty of email newsletter providers out there that won't be branded with anything other than your own work. It's just silly to be sending out newsletters with links to promote work or websites other than your own. The owners of this site are very clever, always with a hand in artists pockets. And don't tell me it's not intentional.

To answer your question, no, there is no benefit to show both other than to this site. You're only going to confuse your subscribers with which link to click, and if it's the FAA main link, you lose, FAA wins.

Hi Kazumi,
Im a newbie but, Pixels is linked to FAA so if there is a email it will show FAA, but you can probably mention in the email your information about pixels.
