Critique On Camera Wanted

I have a Sony N50 with a 18-70 Sony lens and a Minolta AF 28-135 Lens. Anyone know anything about it? Any idea if it has any value at all? Any one want to make an offer on it? I will through in the backpack camera bag. Going to eBay it if no one is interested.

WOW! Is this such off an off-breed camera that no one knows anything about it?

Is this what you have Sony Digital DSLR A-100 N50 ?

It was alight a few years ago, but nowadays the megapixel count is too small for it's overall bulk, and the photo quality is about as good as you'd get from an equivalent megapixel point and shoot. I'd describe it as a fun camera for mucking about with, but someone on ebay may see it as the best thing since rye bread

Yes, Ernie, I have one. I have had it for some time, and ya, it is really bulky and heavy. I bought it at the time, like I do everything else, because it just looked like a great price. I have it stuck in a box in the back of my car to have a camera for when I didn't think I was going to need one. I have taken a few shots with it and yes the megapixel count is too small.

I was more or less just trying to confirm if I had it scooped out correctly.

Floyd,

I thought that is what you had Just saying Sony N50 really didn't say what it was.

I have the Sony a77 and a77m2 and love them both.

Don't really know how much the a100 is worth. I had the a350 and sold it recently with two lenses for $250.00.

Good luck!!!

Yep, it's still an okay camera depending on what you use it for. Studio work or still life it'd be fine - just not the sort of behemoth I'd choose to lug up a hill or want to venture very far with.

In fact for magazine or book print work where the dot pitch is coarser, great, and you'd probably even be able to get away with a wedding or two.

But other than that a Hassle without being a Blad

A lot of my work is from my A100. Sometimes it's not the megapixels, it's how you use them.
Now I use an A77. I still have the A100 but I keep forgetting to put it back in the car.

Dumb question on my part, but did you look up the used camera on Ebay?

That is the market. More or less.
