Shelly

I just tested this and it appears to be working as it should

Resave your png and make sure it is saving correctly

My question would by why? PNG images are much larger in file size the JPG images, and with no benefit that I'm aware of.
Your PNG will be converted to a JPG for printing, anyway. Wouldn't it be better to upload a jpg, and have any conversions under your full control?
Why would you use PNG, if that bulky format limits the resolution of the files you can upload here, due to its bloated file size?

Gregory many are uploading transparencies PNG files for the fabric items. This one of Linda's for example. Go into the pillow option then select any color you want and you will see one reason for the PNG the transparency options.

Linda has a few other she did like that. Someone added to the suggestion list get something other than the solid grey to note it was a transparency.

But that is cool we have the option for that now. I have not added any yet but may in the future. Now if we can get a color picker like an eye dropper tool to match colors in the piece we will be all set. :)

Thanks, Andee -- I'm filing this in my 'Learn Something New Every Day' folder! I really need to catch up on the changes here! :-)

One thing I noticed when I upload PNG images all the metadata was missing not sure why that would be.

Pngs do not store metadata.

If you are using Windows, just go into the paint program ( in accessories) and you can convert PNG to JPG in a few seconds, just by changing how you want the file saved.
easy peasy

Not sure what the problem was with that particular file. it must have been corrupted somehow. The thing about PNG is when I am processing my images I save multiple times. If I did that with jpg I would lose a lot of quality. I don't lose any data with png.

I ended up converting it to jpg for uploading.
