I've got a new lens on my right eye, but he wont fix the left eye, out of which I cannot see, because there's no point, seeing as I can't see, why fix it !! I'd agree.......................

Really funny! I played in a band that toured the eastern part of the US for a while and "exposure" was always the running joke with musicians. If I had a quarter every time someone said "I can't afford to pay you BUT it would be great exposure!" I could have actually made a decent living as a musician. My reply was always, "People die of exposure! Why would I want to play music for it?".
