If you are speaking of being on the home page they normally send you an email message. If you are speaking of faa groups you need to follow your activity feed.

if its on a group, you'll see it in the activity. if its on the front page, you'll never know.

i guess they send you email to notify you that you are being featured. cos i see some people announce that they have been featured.

Featured where? There is no email sent to you. If you are featured in a group you will see it in the activity or under you image.
