Post any photos of AT LEAST 15 years old..of yourself, family or your art.
Have fun!
If you can't do it today, I'll come back every few weeks or so and revive the opportunity!

My dad had his photo albums stored in the basement. I had to take a decongestant after going through some of the albums. This lovely old album was one of them, and contains photos of some of my great aunts with their wedding photos around 1900, my uncle and a few other relatives I can't identify. They were (obviously) all professional studio photographs mounted on thick cardboard. The other photo is my mom, my grandmother, my two aunts and my uncle. All deceased.

A photo from 1987, first developed in my darkroom, around 10 years later I scanned the negative to my first computer, worked on it step by step, and here it is: one of my oldest.
(And still one of my favorites :)
Thanks for the thread, Marlene! Love to see these images made many years ago!
Edit: It is not "one of my oldest", but one of the first of my old photos I got digitalized and worked on it in my first computer.

I think I read your intro wrong, Marlene. My photo album photo is not 15 years old, but the album is.....sorry LOL. I'm senile, what can I say?

This one is about 19 years old. It's one I did in high school and is essentially the last piece of art I did up until last year.
I've been considering removing it from my portfolio as it just feels out of place with all my recent work. But I don't have much work to show, so there it sits...

I took this 30 years ago when I was working on field trials in the Fenlands in the East of England. It's the oldest photo I have on FAA at the moment.

originally did the pencil version of this in highschool.. only recently coloured it.. the pencil version had a lot of negativity in it from my persecutions through highschool - the coloured version I managed to transmute a lot of that negative into positive

Gene - I doubt if Cynthia was "quiet"... Foxy yes, quiet no.
I know you meant, "quite"... I've made that mistake a few times and most recently on a title I gave one of my images which was picked up by someone here on FAA. I was thankful they said something so I could correct it. The thing about this type of mistake is that neither word will be picked up by the spell checker. ;)
Gene... Shhhhh... let's keep quiet about it now.

1973 Polaroid was the basis for the image... Digital took over from there.
Very cool Chuck!

Back in 1949 when I was a senior in high school, I was introduced to the Bohemian side of life by this young man.
He loved my photography and got me many jobs shooting interiors with natural light.
This picture is very special, for that night his younger sister crawled into bed with me and I became a man...
The next day, we drove to Muscle Shoals to put some mileage on his new car.

One of my first paintings when I was around 11 years old.
My father was a maintenance foreman at a private school for boys. Generally the students were "well to do", and when they left for Summer vacation they would leave things at the school they didn't care to take back home with them. A few of the discarded items my father procured were some used oil and acrylic paints. These became my introduction into painting. I copied a painting from an old art instruction book...

I had just gotten back from Europe after serving my time in the army, and I got a job at WHBQ television in Memphis.
I wanted to try out my new Rolleiflex I bought at the PX just before I was discharged, and when I heard this new singing sensation was going to be on the Wink Martindale show, I brought it to work with me. That's when I met this guy.

Yea, that's me on the right. '74 or '75. I have no idea why we had clown makeup on. Not creepy at all, right? ;)
