"adult" Images

Hi people,
Would this be considered an "adult" image, requiring being in a password or otherwise protected gallery?

Is this image safe for viewing at work ? Yes No Note - It is extremely important that you answer this truthfully. Our work-safe filter serves three purposes. 1. It helps to avoid awkward moments at work! 2. It protects children from viewing images that they probably shouldn't be viewing. 3. It protects FineArtAmerica.com and our members from being penalized by Google and other search engines for displaying adult images. Please respect the other artists and visitors to FineArtAmerica.com and filter your own images.Nudity IS allowed on FineArtAmerica.com and nude images are generally considered 'work-safe' as long as they are not too graphic. Please just use good judgment .policy...upon uploading your images, some may need safe filter but not a password safe gallery

When you upload and/or edit there's a place to tag it safe or not safe for work. (NSFW) Sadly, I think this is somewhat subjective. Prudery is a sliding scale.

no. one has to draw the line with prudery somewhere. most bikinis show more than is visible in this image.

To be brutally honest, I see a woman ( ho looks a lot like Cher) with blood all over, perhaps she just killed someone?
I find that more objectionable than the nudity.

I like Marlene's answer.

wouldn't be the first time in art - see (at the very least) paintings of judith and holofernes.

if you put it in with a password, not a single person could see it, nor google. i don't see that as adult either.

This image is so shrouded with whatever that is, it would be amazing to see any anatomy or skin for that matter. I have seen complete female and male parts in new uploads here and often wondered if this is permissible ,then can porn companies also use this site to display their art?

Thank you all for your comments. I do not see it as pornographic or offensive either, but I am sensitive to the feelings of others, not to the point of ridiculousness but certainly to the point of propriety.

For those who can only interpret the color red as injury from blood, I find that ridiculous, and wonder if possibly you are conditioned by watching too much graphic violence on television? The intent was not injury, but a comment against racism, which a lot of people find offensive as well. Her beauty, the colors, her features, and what you see as blood from injury, is by design, symbolic of the racial inter-mixture, characteristic of almost everyone alive today, and the commonality of blood in every living being. Fortunately the nice black lady who paid good money for the original saw the intent, not anything offensive.

While I do not share your opinion, it is welcome and has influenced my decision to go ahead and make this image public. Controversy has always been a characteristic of powerful art, exposing people to the way they look at things. Thank you very much for the unintended compliment.

Thank you all.
