Computer Dummy

You guys participating in the discussion groups certainly are far more advanced on the computer than I ever will be.

So how do I enter photos in the discussion pages?

There is a table on the page with your picture with the Title, description etc. There is also Embed. Just ctr+c and ctrl+v that text starting with < a href

You can post any picture from the internet

with img html tag (delete _ symbol)

What sort of photos are you wanting to post?

Photos of YOUR art?

Photos you find in other places on the internet?

If it is YOUR art, then this is pretty simple. If other places on the internet, then not always so simple, BUT possible.

When you just write the code that links to an image on the internet in such a way that it shows the picture here, then this is hot linking, and websites (I think) usually prefer that you not do it this way, because if too many people do it this way, then it might exhaust the website's allowances for transferring data, causing problems for them.

Don't worry about how I am able to post this code without it activating [THAT's another coding trick, when we want to write about the code instead of making the code actually work.

When you go to an image in your images and click on it, you will arrive at a page that shows the image with a block of code somewhere to the right lower part of the screen. The code for your image that I show here is:

<a href='http://fineartamerica.com/featured/silvias-baby-danl.html'><img src='http://fineartamerica.com/displayartwork.html?id=12495671&width=249&height=259' alt='Art Prints' title='Art Prints' style='border: none;'></a>

When YOU just copy this code [highlight with mouse, right click, and press "copy"] and paste it into this discussion box, then you will get this picture to appear:

I had to ask, I didn't know about having to press ctrl key and the c key to 'copy' and ctrl, v key to 'paste'. I just kept trying to right click and paste from that link on the image page.
