eBay is not a POD: print on demand platform. With eBay you each image in each size is different listing.

You upload the image file from your computer and then fill in all the descriptions.

eBay does not do fulfillment. You have to do that yourself. You will have to have your own commercial, wholesale to the trade printer and fullfilment center. Once you sell the item you then have to have it printed and shipped to your buyer.

You CANNOT put links to any page outside of eBay in your eBay listings form or anywhere else. They will close your account for ever if they discover you are doing that.

eBay is very profitable if you do it right. I have been on eBay selling prints for over 15 years. I always joke that I was on eBay before there was an eBay. When eBay first stated out the bought a company called OnSale, an online auction site that was out there way before eBay. When eBay bought them out, all the accounts were converted to eBay accounts.

A combinatin of an eBay and FAA account is killer once you figure out how to get it done.

Ebay is a lot of work, and FAA makes it easy since they do the backend work for you. You are better off spending your efforts driving customers to FAA than posting on ebay.

Yup, I agree it is a lot of work. But anything that pays off is a lot of work. I have had 5 eBay stores, down to 3 now as I move into full retirement, but only two are fully up and running. I average over one sale a day on FAA, but I will do in one week several times what I do in FAA in the entire month.

Not saying not to do FAA, not at all... I do suggest that you broaden your reach into areas that produce sales. eBay can be one of them and use the two to compliment one another.

FAA is great, I love it and as I wind down, I will end up only on FAA. But I am not trying to make a living or build a business. eBay can be a very valuable tool in conjunction with FAA. Like they say, don't put all your eggs in one basket.

I have my work printed and delivered to me. I sign each piece and advertise it as "hand signed by the artist". You can buy a 5x7 print for as low as 69 cents.

All you have to do is list it on Ebay, FAA, and other sites. People will spend more for a signed print.

Monsieur Danl where do you get your prints printed for 69 cents? Are they postcards or greeting cards? Thanks for sharing your tips!
