Shouldn't Contests Have A Rule That Art Can Only Be Entered By Its Creator?
Have seen a lot of contest entries lately that are identified as being from the 19th and early 20th centuries. Shouldn't there be a rule that you can only post your own work? Aren't the contests supposed to be for LIVING artists?
I wanted to enter one of my Public Domain images in a contest, but it was unclear if this was ok or not. I contacted the originator of the contest and asked her first. She said it was ok to enter. If something is unclear, just ask :)
