Group Leadership - Second Leader, Moderator....stuff Like That

Hey guys, I never tried and watched it - but there seems to be no function, to give other group members functions like a second group operator who watches images, or watches about rules in discussion, if the leader is away some days. Or maybe, as example...to give the whole leadership away to another trustfull member, if one isn't that active on FAA anymore?

I think it would be good function and could revive dead groups for example, maybe it could make groups more attractive?

Sandra -- some good suggestions. You might get more constructive feedback if you ask in the admins group discussions at this thread

http://pixels.com/groups/group-and-contest-administrators.html?tab=overview or faa http://fineartamerica.com/groups/group-and-contest-administrators.html?tab=overview

If you find any groups inactive for more than thirty days please send me the link(s) in a private message. Thank you very much.

Hope this is helpful to you. Enjoy your day.

But why there? Are there also reading FAA-Staff-Members? And who are you? Also FAA-Staff? I dont think, lonely-mailing this idea to info@ would change something. But i think the groups are very unflexible, what makes it a little bit less interesting and causes many of that problems I read. People dont want to join groups, if they have the fear, that in some month all their work and effort in the group will be deleted.

Well I for one would agree that it would be great if the group and contest administrators could appoint a deputy. So if frank says to go to the http://pixels.com/groups/group-and-contest-administrators.html?tab=overview. then this is where to go to plant the idea a little deeper.
thanks for the info Frank.

Sandra;

The link Frank offered is a good one. You should check it out. Group and contest admins go there to talk things out, share advice, etc. I believe most group admins want to be good and active, but in the grand scheme of things, if one goes down, is it really that big of a concern? I don't agree that people don't want to join groups as a whole. Those that like groups join.

People may also not want to support a good idea when the person who puts out the idea randomly attacks forum mods and can't be bothered to look up who a person is.....

Sandra,
Maybe you missed the line under Franks signature"Group Moderator"
When you ask "who are you?", do you need someone to explain what it means for you?

Hello,
Joshua, I did not attack anybody, my question was simple. Frank does sign with "Frank J Casella, Groups Moderator" but I dont know how to classify that. It looks official, but on the other hand on FAA are thousands of group admins (or moderators?), because there are thousands of groups.
I dont know what it means and in which relation he stands to FAA; if maybe he is the right contact person or intermediary for suggestions for improvement....

Sandra Frank is the one to contact, his links will take to the discussions in the Moderator/Administrator Group. He is the overseer of Moderators in groups.
