100th Anniversary Of Anzac Day

This week marks the 100th Anniversasry of Anzac Day - when Australian and New Zealand troops were sent into slaughter on the Turkish coastline (the British at the time considered the residents of the colonies as expendable. Here are some related photos - post some if you have some.

Here is a view of the War Memorial in Canberra framed by the flagpole on Parliament House. Anzac parade leads up to the War Memorial.

Thanks for sharing this heartbreaking story, experienced in so many ways, worldwide.
The images are beautiful.
Australia has provided this girl from Philly a safe harbour for 40 years. I am so grateful for the Anzac spirit, that lives on.
