Heading To London!

Well, I've been planning to do travel with FAA money for awhile, but always found something better to spend it on (like bills). Finally though, we just booked a trip to London in November. We are huge NFL Kansas City Chiefs fans, and they play over there in Wembley Stadium for one of their home games. I am going to go and take photos for 2 days while I am there for the game with my wife, that way we can business expense a great deal of it. Best part about it, every red cent including spending money came from ole FAA.

With a fulfillment center in Europe...seems like a good time to start a bit of a portfolio over there! Overseas we go!

We are also going to have a 20 hour layover in Iceland, so I am going to have to see what I can do while I'm there.

Sounds good!. I thought London was great when we traveled there a few years back. We stayed at a great hotel near the London Eye which was very convenient. Also out in the burbs with a friend but traveled in on the tube.

Paris is an easy shot across the channel. We took a side trip over for three days.

Of course the London based shooters don't have to travel.

Have fun! I grew up a Raiders fan but if I went to London I would most definitely be going to watch one of the many London Derbies. Never thought I would ever get into soccer but I have. Will probably never switch completely but have watched soccer when football was on. Get some shots of those stadiums as its truly a global game. Good Luck to your Chiefs!

That's just crazy! But not really. NFL schedule just came out and they (season ticket holders who have to purchase this home game overseas) are selling on stub hub.

I played football, and soccer....soccer had too much running. Because of that fact I will probably always be a football guy, although I do want to go see some Sporting KC games this year.

Yeah tickets have been available on stubhub for some time, I got mine at face value through the Chiefs though...since I am a season ticket holder its much cheaper that way.

The trip from London to Manchester by train is only 3 hours....thats shorter than I normally drive for a football game.

Hmm....maybe I'll head to Manchester LOL.

The only team worth watching in London - indeed, the entire English Premier League - would be Chelsea F.C. at Stamford Bridge. Blue is the colour!

Rugby I could get into......there is so much running in soccer!

Rugby rocks.

Soccer, too much running imo.

Enjoy England or the UK depending how far you travel. It is a wonderful place. It's like a whole different country except they speak English, well, sort of.

(Ducks from Abbie on that last one.)

Thomas what a great use of FAA profits. I'm sure you're going to have a fantastic time. Being able to write off part of your trip is a win-win!

I've seen a couple of Patriots games at Wembley and it was awesome! Was expecting lots of ex-pats but wasn't expecting quite as many Brit amercian football fans... such a good time. Just got back from London yesterday myself... wish I could move back!

Rugby has fair amount of running as well. Much rather watch a good rugby game than nfl.

You won't have time to go to Paris if you are only here (in London) for a few days.

Take a drive around Reykjanes Penisula. There are a few beautiful lighthouses in the area. The Keflavik International Airport is located there so it is not a long drive and there are a lot of awesome sights in the area! We loved our trip to Iceland last March and hope to go back soon! Reykjavik also has some beautiful locations and is about a 45 minute drive from the airport.
