Image Licensing

I'm sitting down with a major player who wants to purchase several originals, none of which are on here, and license the image onto resort wear Sweatshirts, sweatpants, t- shirts, hats, bags, ect.. His facility has over 1000 originals on the walls he has done this with over the past 35 years. I was wondering if there were any recommendations as to which agreement, that I signed up for here and had no idea what is was doing, would be appropriate ?
I'm sure he has a contract, which he has used, since he's done it a 1000 times.

He wants to purchase the original - pull the impression off in a layer PS, then silkscreen.

Edit - This player actually has one of the few MLB rights to prints their stuff.

Congratulations. I've only done some t-shirt commissions for a price up front, so my advice might be a little off.

You could gage how many sales he might make and include a percentage in the price of the originals, charge by the hour (if you recorded how long it took you) and add this to the original price, or arrange a royalty system. The site below says 2%-10%, but I've heard people who arrange for 10% until a number is reached and then accept 2% after.

P.S. You might want to have someone look over the contract too…when it comes time to sign.

P.S.S. When he says layers, it sounds like he's going to come up with multiple uses for you art. It might be good to establish that as well. Plus there has to be some kind of publication that will discuss licensing.
