Opening Page Appearance

When someone opens my store on their computer, it does not come up with the galleries showing as I have set the default. It opens to a hodge podge array of my paintings. Not in any order that I have set. It's ugly. How do I fix this???

Behind the Scenes, click on Default Settings.

On the top right menu, when logged in to http://fineartamerica.com or Pixels there is a drop down with everything you need for the site

BEHIND THE SCENES is for all the tools you need to set the site up and PROFILE is where your site is. I know it helped me when I first joined to just play in there a while before doing anything else.

The area you need to address is not just the default setting,
because if you are trying to set up your own paid for artist website,
you also need to change this setting on the homepage link under Tab Menu,
as this also asks you if you want images or gallery.
Go to Website Appearance to access this area.

Greg, thank you so much for your answer, However, I have done that and it still comes up helter skelter. I hate the first appearance it has to my customers. I have even edited the order in which they should appear, but that does not show up either. And yes I clicked on Submit. (:

Isabella, I don't see where that is. I have gone into the default settings and set the galleries to open by default. Doesn't happen. When I log in and see my profile, it's beautiful, but anyone else gets confused when they go there. I do have a premium site. How do I log into it if it is different from a regular log in?

I have three websites. Do I need to change them all? Or just the FAA free site? How do I log in to my free FAA site. I managed to get it up once but can't find it again. Frustrated.

The link to your artist website is in your "behind the scenes" Shirley and yes you have to set your faa page and your artist page separately.

Shirley, you have no bio written on FAA.

Am I invisible???? I just said all that in detail!

You are not invisible. However when people are new they miss things in their frustration.

I am not stupid but this is all new to me. I am a good artist but not good at promotion. Please have patience with me as I do not know all the ropes. I do not understand some trails to get to certain places. I need a map. I just need to read your posts and explore a bit. Yes, some of you are more knowledgeable here than I am but let me ask some dumb questions and see what happens. Just help me.

OK, I've set the website I have here and my store to gallery default, but when someone opens my store, it still has misc. photos show up. The website looks good but not my store. Would someone please open my store and see if galleries open first?

I do appreciate ALL your help!

Shirley could you please post your website here so we can see. Oh Abbie posted it.

I see your galleries first, Shirley. It worked. You just need a gallery logo image on your last gallery. And a bio.

Thank you! Yes, I do need a bio. I am working on that. I'm adding galleries slowly. I have hundreds and hundreds of paintings to add. I'm doing the photography too. It's a daunting job. Thank you for your kind and persistent help.

Thank you so much Jessica! I am blown away by your work.

Funny, I read your Bio. and I have been working on a letter to PI Creative Art too. I have a friend who is encouraging me to do that. I guess it's a small world on the internet. Any advice there would also be welcomed.

I have just begun to get my work out there. It's a challenge and hard not to get too scattered.

My next step... Bio!
