why do i want to follow you? there really is no advantage for me to do that.

Also no advantage of being followed by other artists.

the only thing it does, it adds stuff to my activity screen that i don't want. and it leads people out of my store. people will follow you on their own if they like your work, or like you, or whatever.

I've suggested, via the weekly suggestion thread, to provide us the means to remove (unfollow) people who follow us. We shouldn't be stuck with whoever decides to click on the follow button.

If you do not want to follow, don't! No need to be rude to Peter at all.

Peter, best to start a discussion about something others may find interesting and then people who wish to follow you, will :)

Abbie, I hope Peter doesn't read my post as directed to him. I was making a blanket statement concerning following, not him in particular.

Peter, work on getting people to follow you from outside FAA. Most of us are working artists ourselves here.

On the AW there is no follow/followers. You know that.

I sell/advertise primarily through the AW. It is less gamesmanship and more about ONLY my art.

It has throw pillows as well. LOL

Asking for attention in any way seems like spam to me, ... that is, when you ask directly, such as "Vote for me." or "Follow me." or "Buy my new painting." or "Visit my store."

It is solicitation.

I blame it partly on the Facebook movement where we "follow", "like", "update", ... what else?

Follow where I'm coming from?


P.S., ... pretty cool fantasy art, by the way, ... a distinctively fluid-like appearance.
