Yes the man who started it all at Muscles Shoals in Alabama. But it is this song that has been in my head since the day after Easter, When a short intense relationship ended for me. And yes I told my mother I wanted to marry her.

Between Percy and the Righteous Brothers all that could ever be sung about love and romance. Music, once filled with soul and emotion, has slowly dwindled as its creators died. And we're left with Miley, Kanye, and something called Gaga. God help us.

We now have a lot of younger folks who can make rap CDs in an instant.

We are artists old and young here who make art often very fast as well.

We are independents. While I could careless about Miley, Kanye and Gaga, their stage at the center
opens a lot of doors for people who most of us will never hear of, but who are independent musicians
and composers.

We live in artistically a great time. Greater than the 60s and 70s if you look at the raw production and talent
at work. Did people over 50 y/o tune in and drop out faster than their kids? Sort of, most of them never really got
what the 60s counter culture was all about.
