Please explain thank you!

Blaine I have seen some of your threads and boy O boy you really give a lot of thought not only to your art but also these discussions. Maybe a book, I am just saying. Hello Blaine.

As far as I am aware Lady Isabella was not hired, she does not get paid and does it voluntarily

How might you get such a post?

Hours of time gaining experience might help build a CV that will get you such an unpaid post.

Your questions might help other newbies to better understand how things are structured, I think you're on the right track by attempting to understand such things.

Blaine Lidtka

Geordie gardener as far as your knowledge how do you know that?

Geordie Gardiner

Ummm I think I recollect reading it in a few of the many threads Blaine but I cannot remember which ones.

Possibly someone might pass this way with a link.

All the best

Well that doesn't sound fair.
The Lady and JC both deserve some sort of kickback for keeping all us misfits on a leash.

Blaine, yes

Sean is the owner.
We have a couple of ladies in Customer Support plus a telephone team on staff
Also on staff is an Art Director who says whether work will print or not... Final say
We have myself as Community Manager and Technical Support.. I'm self employed.

We have JC and Frank as voluntary moderators

Hope this helps

Are you after a job here?

Blaine,

I can say that there is a live very patient young lady at the FAA office....

I was in a continual direct contact with Dawn, as she worked with this doddering old coot to make a sold image into a printable image

Throughout the days it took, with the many attempts, she was rock solid, and very encouraging...Never putting me down.

To me,Dawn is a very lovely lady.

I'm always looking for a better job. I have a good one right now! I'm working with one of my best friends all day, and we car pool too work. I'm an Iron worker, I make $40 an hour setting glass windows on a highrise in Seattle. My other Ironworker good friend I called yesterday offered me a job in June working 7 days a week 12hr days for 6 weeks. I might take it and leave the job I'm at; So I can money up! Why do you ask me if I'm looking for a job here? I wasn't trying to find a job here. Im just trying to figure out the nuts and bolts of this place. Who's the Art Director, and who's the Technical Support? Thank you

JC Findley

Abbie is tech support.

There is no art director.

it was just a joke asking if you want to work here. though the other job. sounds way too stressful to work that long.

"...$40 an hour...7 days a week 12hr days for 6 weeks..."

What type of benefits come with that package?

Valerie Reeves

JC...look several comments above yours.

Abbie says, "Also on staff is an Art Director who says whether work will print or not... Final say."

JC Findley

I stand corrected. (Didn't know that was the title.)

Dawn is the art director.

It strikes me as odd and kinda funny how often someone types FFA here and not FAA.

Mike Savad

so in any case, this is why you keep the day job and not rely on art.

The link that Frank posted 9 hours ago:

"...it was cool reading the history of FAA!"

Did you read the first two paragraphs in the link (history of FAA)?

It's a private company, the identities of the employees don't need to be broadcast on the internet without their consent.

Blaine Lidtka

This is why Mike I say you give negative feed back, derail my threads, and bash my image.

Blaine Lidtka

Why so private Cindy ?

Ronald Walker

Read Sean's letter and the one thing I concluded from it is Sean's a smart guy! I joined FAA in 2007 and I can not for the life of me remember how I heard about it. Glad I did however!

Greg Jackson

Blaine, what are all the names of your employers? You might ask them first if it's okay to publish that info on the web though, and let us know their response.

Okay, I'm done here.

Cynthia Decker

Private company versus public company. Public companies are more likely to share names of key employees. I mean, I don't know that I'd want my name tossed around in a discussion thread for a company I worked for. People deserve their privacy and some respect when it comes to their job and place of work.

Talking about structure and positions is fine, and that's pretty much all explained in the History of FAA link. I just don't think it's fair to bring names into it.

Mike Savad

i have never bashed your threads, unless its another ME thread, in which case it's never about art but yourself, so it could really be an open topic. i do not give negative feedback. but i also don't give positive feedback. i don't bash your image, your only used to hearing compliments, that when i don't give it, you take it the wrong way. but when you ask for an open ended critique, or how we feel, i will tell you how i feel.

sean is a programmer, his brother is an artist and i think he made this site for him.

though i don't see why your attacking me - specifically.

The question was answered by Frank in the 5th reply with the link to the history of FAA. The thread should have been closed right then, as history has shown these "discussions" just fall right off the cliff in short order.

JC Findley

Well, that pretty much explains the structure so I guess we are done here.
