Pillows

I some how did not make clear that all my images can be ordered as pillows. I can't figure out how to remedy this.

you have to have images large enough for pillows, and you have to have prices for the pillows or they won't show.

right now your images are far too small - and you can't have watermarks on them, and some are not in focus.

I have ordered the pillows in question on the CREATE option. They arrived just fine. I'm not sure I'm asking my question properly. Your responses aren't helping me here. But thanks for trying.
I need to know how to get the pillow prices on the images the buyer sees

Merilee, I see the prices on your pillows. Not all of your images are available as pillows. The customer has to choose a size. Which ones are you referring to?

Pillows need to be at least 14X14. Many of your images are smaller than this. A few seem to be large enough for the two smallest sizes. Go through your images and click on edit. There will be a box you can fill in beside the pillows if the image is large enough.

Merilee, what Mike is explaining is the resolution of some of your images is keeping the size options limited on some of your products. When it says the full resolution of your image is 900 x 700 (for example purposes) that means the largest print that can be made would be a 9'' x 7''. If the full resolution is 2400 x 3600, you could print up to a 24'' x 36'' print. Your resolutions are not all large enough. The smallest pillow size would need an image around 1600 x 1600 to print. You can't get a price for a pillow on an image if that image has a lower resolution. The system will block you.

Also, some of your images do look blurry and the copyright watermark may prevent faa from printing. There are cropping issues on at least one painting I saw. What you upload to the system has to be ready for print exactly how you uploaded it. Look at some of your images under the 'green box' to see what we are talking about. Somewhere on the site are tips on photographing original artwork.

(Edited out because I was barking up the wrong tree)

The first four images in your portfolio are too small. Largest I saw was 12X8. Near the back is where some of the sizes are large enough. I did not go through every image

Also on a side note you may want to remove your phone number that you have on your Visit Website link.

Joy, you can upload and CREATE from FAA on the homepage

Ah, thanks Jessica....I didn't know that :)

Merilee, please disregard my post above.

Well, Jessica beat me to it concerning "Create". :)

Thank you everyone. I have ordered images not shown to be able to be pillows on Create and they are fine.

Now I can't get the phone number deleted, it keeps coming back

Melissa, what is the 'green box' you referred to, where do I find that?

Jessica Jenney

Debra, the full resolution preview is the green box. Edit image and check the box.

Also, in addition to being too small, and pricing of pillows, you have a note on the side of many of your pieces that say, "this piece not for sale". What you probably want to show is, "original not for sale". If the piece is not for sale, I'm leaving the page immediately. Go into your bulk pricing (behind the scenes) and you can change them all at once to reflect this. Hope this helps. You have a lot of great work, by the way.

I wonder if you can order pillows for yourself on the CREATE button but not offer them for sale if the image is not large enough. That may explain why you were able to order pillows that way but not from your FAA page.

I wonder too if that means that orders placed through the CREATE button will by-pass the usual quality control checks?

"I wonder too if that means that orders placed through the CREATE button will by-pass the usual quality control checks?"

That's a good question.

I just created a 26 X 26 pillow from my image that was 800 X 533 pixels. But it would not allow me to make anything else over 8 X 5.

Merilee, a customer HAS to order YOUR product through your gallery. The CREATE is only for use of one's own image. So you can order your pillow because it's your image. But your customer can't! So if your pillows are not alongside your image, a customer cannot order it as a pillow.

A customer can CREATE a pillow from only from their own image! I hope that's clear.

Merilee;

First, I hope you're still looking at this topic as we are trying to help. Second, I wonder if when you used the CREATE button, if you took an image off the computer that was larger than the one you loaded to your portfolio.

Jessica Jenney

Joseph, read what I wrote above

This is VERY interesting. I was unaware of this Create feature/function.

Looking at it now, it clearly says "upload from your computer." I think that's the heart of the matter for the OP.

Thank you, thank you all!

I would like to say that all the images I ordered through CREATE were excellent color and quality of the image is great.

are we talking about a site called create?

so its just a one off thing then. if that's the case all she has to do is do a bulk edit. and those that are large enough or the right shape, should become a pillow.

Once again, thank you all. In the mean time I am going to see what I can do about getting higher resolution pictures. You all have been so generous with your time, help and comments. Merilee
