Friday Two Funny Things

1. I had to call to reschedule a doctor's appointment, and the nurse said "I get get you in with Dr. Pestoff..." And I, being an adult woman of culture and refinement, barely managed to refrain from asking "What's he pestoff about?".

2. Heard this today: If you have second thoughts about booking time to visit a Native American community, you have a reservation reservation reservation.

Now, your turn!

"You ever lick one of those frogs on a stick?"
Said by American tourists from AZ.

Heather, do you think someone told him that's a thing in eastern Europe?

Better to be named "Dr. Pestoff" than to be named "Dr. Woodman" or "Dr. Lick" or even "Dr. Hornay". Yeah, ... I'd watch out for a Dr. Hornay, if I were you. Keep an eye on his hands at all times, and do not take any sedatives, muscle relaxers or anesthesia in his presence.

With Dr. Pestoff, I'd be a bit concerned about his handling sharp implements around me, ... such as scalpels or scissors.

Sorry, I didn't have any originals to offer, so I had to parasitize YOURS.

When I lived in Detroit, there was a shingle that read:
Dr. I. Doctor,
Eye Doctor.

And two podiatrists named Dr. Smelzey and Dr. Tozzi
I guess some names might encourage certain professions.....

There's a Chiropractor here in the Detroit area, Marlene, who's got a couple of clinics and his name is Dr. Bend. I thought that was appropriate....

But can you imagine Dr. Doctor's staff? They would have to walk around all day saying "Doctor Doctor", probably sounding a bit obsessive compulsive....

One I remember from a newspaper article of funny
doctors' names was Dr. Payne.

I'm not sure of the spelling, it might have been
Dr. Paine or even Dr. Pain.

Funny, Marlene, I just did a search and there's actually a Dr. Doctor about 8 miles from where I live. Wonder if it's from the same family?

Mary, there would be NO WAY I could keep from saying "Dr. Doctor, give me the news..."
