How Do You Tighten A Flash Head?

i have a 430ex flash i use everywhere. but the hinge seems loose. i'd like to tighten it, but i don't want to break the flash. anyone have a good way to do it? is there a thing i can pop off and just tighten it? or is it just worn? and that's why it seems less tight?

I image its worn out. Probably just plastic on plastic.

I agree. I had an old SB600 that I completely disassembled to fix the motorized head, and I didn't see anything that could tighten the hinge. Maybe yours is different, but I'd imagine it's just worn.
