Post Your Favorite Gallery!

We all have a gallery we like best....more so a passion than the rest of your art work you sell! Explain a little why its your favorite!

http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/katie-jeans.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=438191

I live a driving distance away from the ocean here on the east coast. The ocean has always been a happy mental state for me each time...what makes is special is I get to view a change with each changing season being in New England. Its beautiful, a place for exercise, adventure, fun, family time, sun, vacation...and of course to bring a camera! One day my dream will be to live right on the water :)

I like a few galleries and have pictures to prove it.

Why do I like them? Because their choices of art look like the kind of art I grew up with.

Not some of the nonsense galleries seem to be fond of lately.

So, you were NOT speaking of REAL ART GALLERIES, but ones on our web page?

Then I like this one the best: http://chuckstaley.com/art/all/all/all/conceptual+art

In case that link doesn't work, here's a short version: http://bit.ly/1Iem9ST

This is my favorite gallery today.....
23 paintings created for the purpose of visually interpreting blessings, psalms, proverbs, holidays and prayers, whose roots are in Judaism. Each has an accompanying text with translation with a written interpretation as an integral part of the experience.

Tomorrow, it may be my raptors....
Cuz they were painted a good 25 years before any prints of them sold and most were painted over:

Link to one of your own favorite FAA gallery folks...

If I have to choose one, I guess it might be this OOF gallery because the OOF (Out Of Frame) technique can be lots of fun, absorbing, and designed for getting attention. I created an FAA group for it here... http://fineartamerica.com/groups/oof--out-of-frame.html?tab=overview

Basic description...
This technique may also be known as OOB or Out Of Bounds. The method, seen most frequently on magazine covers and advertisements generally consists of a portion of the image extending beyond the normal border giving a 2D image a 3D look and feel.

One of my favourite galleries is my Surreal Gallery, perhaps because it contains some of my most unique images:

Nice idea, Katie! People have told me they like my Rustic gallery best, but my favorite is my Abstract gallery. It's the most enjoyable to create works for.

My favorite is my "New England Coastline" gallery. These are the photos I love to shoot the most, out of any of the different types of photography I do. I love being by the water, and capturing a little piece of what that feels like to share with others is very rewarding.

One of my favorite galleries contains images created in the 3D Stereo Anaglyph format. I don't believe many FAA members have a similar interest or even the Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses required to view the images. FYI, cardboard glasses are inexpensive and can be found with a search online. I recommend Rainbow Symphony, or American Paper Optics...

On any given day, it would be any one of them. Since my Seascapes galleries have been busy through all seasons, I'm going with that theme. I have broken up my seascapes into "Winter Seascapes" and just "Seascapes". Most of my seascapes were taken in my hometown, an historic coastal town in Massachusetts.

Hmmm this is all well and fine.. wonderful wonderful wonderful beautiful artworks all filled with color whirling and twirling and such and a dance of life.. but I suppose I read this wrong.. I thought it was a favorite gallery that belonged to someone else.. wow.. that is a horse of a different color.. I must of missed the self love boat and think of others art more important than mine but thought maybe it was a discussion to praise others..

By the way .. wow.. it happens every other day.. I am shocked to learn how many celebrities are here among us mere mortals.. I just clicked on a surreal gallery listed above and found the following information.. about WB Johnston.. I was in shock and awe again.. after going through that will Greg Olsen a day or two ago.. by the way I guess God's don't answer mere mortals request for audiences or emails or comment back to favorable comments directed towards them or discussions or facebook post.. lol After all there has to be some mere mortals to praise said gods.. anyway which I thought weird.. if I had huge fans I would do anything I could to have communication with them. Over the years I have been fortunate to interact with some super stars and feel that we are still great friends and I can pick up the phone and call them if I wanted to or contact them.. that is if they aren't dead. lol..Elvis was a great guy lots of fun to be around and easy to reach and not unreachable and others like Elton John and many many others are so easy to reach but yet they are among the entertainment gods.. so what makes artist any different ,apparently it does..im still waiting to hear from Greg Olsen.. and it has been days.

Anyway this is what I just read by discovery by this thread ,the following info..

"W.B. Johnston's artwork has been sought out by a diverse array of clients, including; The National Geographic Society, Microprose Software, Bristol Aerospace, Sadlier Publishing, General Media, Rogers Publishing, Labatt Breweries, Scholastic Publications, McGraw Hill Publishing, Penthouse Magazine and many others. W.B.'s work has illuminated advertisements, textbooks, magazine, packaging, web sites, signage and more."

It seems that Mr Johnston does visit said discussion areas if for nothing else to actually post his galleries or read I suppose but I wrote to him and just out of curiosity ..I am impressed again.. I see his accomplishments also big among rock stars according to the internet.. he has a list of accomplishments that dwarfs so many peoples lives..so I wrote to him and ask if
he could send links to said accomplishments since I am a fan of many of the magazines and things that he has designed over the years or says he did.. Im sure if he has been around here all of you know him like Mr Greg Olsen.. but I don't but im anxious too.. and see his work to see if I recognize any of it.. but alas I await his reply to his achievements .

I know as I didn't know about Mr Olsen that many of you know this guy so if you do.. it would be nice to hear from you now.. also if you know this answer to this question..since you probably do know him.. I looked at all his 1457 images.. and he uses many of the same props over and over and over in his photos.. bones, stones ,rocks and dolll heads ,also he has a over the water effect.. not sure that is a photoshop thing or a wire or bracket thing.. who knows but it seems it is in every shot are almost every shot.. then he mingles some other shots with the colors.. weird colors but same shots and such.. hmmm wonder if he sells a lot.. ? Sure gets the comments but does he sell? This is not meant in a mean spirited way or insulting way and I know there are many that will think that.. these are all just observations but was wondering why he uses that water thing over and over and over.. a few is great but so many wow.. anyway seems he does have good control over colors and use of software for photos but then again his subject matter is kind of intermingled with the same items over and over, but im new here so I don't know.. maybe he sells lots and lots of stuff here.. and probably doesn't need the money . but if anyone ,anyone at all knows him and about him...it would be great to hear about him from ya'll since I don't know about him but am interested. Thanks for reading this and appreciate it..

I guess I really don't have any favorite galleries right now but am working on some stuff ,and maybe one day I can post something in my favorite gallery discussion but not now.. As for favorite other people's galleries.. geez.. you don't have the room for them here. .so it would be a hard choice to make anyway. but this is all really nice..I have seen some of your favorite galleries and always fun to see and experence others favorites.. Thanks again. JGP

Such great work in here! Mystic Sparrow, how I love your fantasy work!

Like someone else pointed out, picking your favorite gallery is like picking your favorite child (human, feline, canine, or otherwise). As of today, I would pick Celestial Collage as my favorite gallery for a few reasons. First, I have always loved celestial-themed artwork. Old photographs can attest to this as I had different images hanging in my room growing up depicting the sun and moon, as well as t-shirts I had at different times of my life with a 'sunface' on it. My other reason for choosing this gallery is because it's the one that mostly clearly shows my growth as an artist, with the work spanning from 2008 to 2015. I have a few pieces currently in the works that will find a home in this gallery when they're done, and it will be interesting to see how they compare to what's currently in there: http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/rahdne-zola.html?tab=artworkgalleries&artworkgalleryid=490812

Great thread, Katie! =)
