Tired Of Flowers And Sunsets - How About Board Shots?

Not to bore anyone with my life of the last two months and six to go - but I'm really all done in with flowers and sunsets/sunrises. This board had such a soulful look - I couldn't resist. What do you do when you need to 'see' something else and if it's not really creative - can you create something in your mind with such ??

I like to play with money: we have beautiful bank notes and when i done with them I spend them. This one is the $5 bill features our parliament buildings and when the sun hits on the metallic part which become mufti-color

While exploring textures to add to my photography archive for art projects -- this beautiful dragonfly graced the moment and lingered for many more.

A beautiful friend inspired my creating this 3D digital sculpture featuring her profile. Some of the tree bark textures are based in
photographs of trees I've grown from seedlings that now tower over our home.

I love teasing images out from wood grain...

You know Royd, I hope that is correct.. RoyD..or Roy D.. this post of yours..discussion has really bloomed.. and expanded and multiplied ,it is exciting..I never knew there was so many people that made photos of wood, wood items, wood this and wood that.. it is amazing..at first I was at a loss..I thought to myself..what wood do I have.. to post. as your discussion progressed I saw people post raw wood, gates.floors and houses etc.. then bingo it hit me..I have an old house so I posted it. wow.. I scored something wood.. this morning early or late as I had not slept at all I had an inspiration to make the Mona Lisa into a bird or God or Goddess.. you know something creative. that I thought would be appreciated among creative types here on FAA you know imagination and creative types.. I did so and it turned out fantastic and I laughed and laughed and laughed..it was inspiring.. different,abstract.. something so bizarre..I was so excited I tripped all over myself posting it here and there and everywhere... hmmm I said to myself.. maybe it isn't as cool as a flower or a sunrise or a board.. but im still in a little state of shock there were no responses really about it.. I suppose that sort of thing is common here on FAA.. and well wood is not common but a rare commodity .. and exciting and creative and demands attention of those that see this discussion everyday.. and really I think you had a great idea with your discussion here..

I feel very fortunate to have landed here on FAA.. the people here amaze me so much as I am thinking of writing a novel about life on FAA.. I am very observant and find it so interesting about these discussions and interactions that the whole world should read the stories of life here among the imaginative and creative ..but for sure I would change everybody's name but it has given me an idea.. to write something so intense about the whole artist discussion and selling art life that people could not put it down but would have to read all the way through.. Anyway im rambling here but wanted to thank you again for all these photos of wood.. doors, trees, houses, gates. and so on and so forth. it has been delightful seeing it all come down the pike and so interesting .. at least you got them away from flowers and sunsets.. isnt that what you wanted to do for a bit? You have a great day Thanks again. JGP
