New Facebook App Question

I noticed the new facebook fan page shopping cart app, which I think is a good idea, but when I went to sign up, it told me I needed to add my personal page before I can add my fan page. I did and then I clicked that I didn't want it posting anything to my personal page (not now button). but then it said it is required to have FAA post something. I do not want them posting stuff to my personal FB page. I try to keep it personal only. I also don't like how it has access to your friends list. (This is why I didn't enable FB when I started here).
Is there a way to keep FAA from posting to my personal page? Is it just a one time posting thing that I can delete?
Can you also choose to not post new artwork to FB when uploaded? I know you have that option with Twitter but didn't know if the same applies to FB.

jenifer, when you load the picture at the bottom you have both facebook pages un tick the one that you dont want it to show up in in this case your personal page .

Don't enable it to post automatically. Do it manually. Not every upload to FAA merits a post to FB, at least for me. This way you get to pick and choose what you post to FB.

Also, I'm somewhat selective posting to my personal page. I figure those who sign up for my business page expect the posts while most do not to my personal. However, when I write an FAA blog, I always post those to my personal page.

Ok, What about when you first enable the app. It's requiring that you allow FAA to post something to your page?

Thanks Joseph. That's what I do with Twitter. I don't want to post everything at the time of uploading, plus I want to customize the posting anyways and add a photo sample.

Mystic - I get that part, but when I went to sign up to enable this it comes up and asks if it can post to your personal page. I clicked not now. The next page told me it couldn't set up my page because it is required for it to post something at the time you enable it. Why do they give you the option of selecting Not Now, if it you can't set it up without it?

Don't click: not now! You need to allow that in order to go any further. Nothing will be posted to your Facebook profile. After your shop is on your Facebook page you can go to default settings here and correct it. My default settings were all unchecked as they were before.

You have to say yes as without the admin posting status we are not allowed to post to your page.

Say yes. Enable all
Go to default settings and UNTICK personal

Ok. Thanks. After seeing another thread it looks like it's a lot more then the easy steps the announcement says to get this app activated. I was going to do this today, but if it's going to take an hour like I've seen some say, I may wait. Not sure.
