Sheena,
Happy Easter to you and all who celebrate the Easter holiday.
Kids have the best stories, very honest and pure. Love your Easter images so beautifully drawn.
In my family, my mother made homemade Portuguese Sweet Bread. She made it in a huge metal tub and would let rise, three times, next to the radiator. Twice in the tub and once in the pans. She made enough breads to give to her siblings. She would fold hard-boiled eggs into the dough as she shaped them into the pans.
The bread is sweet, lemony and delicious. For years I have attempted to make Mom's recipe. The cooking was the most difficult task for me. Last year, I made three breads by halving half of Mom's recipe. I think I finally got the hang of it. Here's my final product from last Easter.
