Shipping From Where?

Just done a Promotional Page and posted the link to my facebook page, just out of interest I clicked on the buy button to see what the postage would be. $70 Dollars was what came up with shipping from the US which surprised me as I saw this on one of FAA's pages

Fine Art America has production facilities throughout the US and UK, and we'll ship you order to any address in the world from the closest available production facility. Since shipping times vary significantly by destination, please place all international orders no later than 5:00 PM (Eastern U.S. Time) on December 15th.

I'm in England so why not ship from Glasgow as I gather that's where there UK production site is. I can't expect any possible friends to pay that much postage so have deleted the post from facebook. Just find it strange and disappointing.

they have one in the US in north carolina. i'm not sure where the other is. there is a UK place though. make sure that when your logged in, it doesn't have a US in it, it guesses wrong sometimes. shipping can be high though. if this is a canvas, make sure its not a gallery wrap, it's like 2-3 times as much for some reason.
