This Image Is Not Available For Commercial Licensing

hello I just joined a few days ago and I have been trying to add some of my work. When I submit my work it says this image is not available for commercial licensing. I know what that means that you cant sell other peoples work, but if the work is mine and I can provide proof of that. Any help would be great. thanks

I hate being a newb lol Something I'm doing is wrong :( I give up for now . Ill figure it out how to get my pictures to load without getting "This Image Is Not Available For Commercial Licensing" I loaded a bigger image and it looked like it was going to work but no. :( Any help or ideas would be great.

It will say that if you're in licensing.pixels.com and you haven't entered any licensing prices.

At what point are you getting this message?

Val Arie

You need to go behind the scenes and opt into the licensing program and set your prices....I am guessing you might not have done that.

This is something that kinda bugs me. Just because I haven't opted into licensing my images through Pixels, I get the message, "This image is not available through commercial licensing". The thing is, I do license my images but I prefer to do it myself and not through Pixels. So the statement is misleading and would obviously deter anyone from inquiring about licensing.

Pegg,y I agree that the statement needs to be tweaked....it should say "through pixels" somewhere.
Otherwise, it is a misrepresentation.

yes I see how that message is confusing and misleading. I understand a bit better now. Not 100% yet but I will figure it out hopefully Thank you for your help.

It would be a misrepresentation in my case - a lot of my images are available for commercial licensing, just not through this site.

I'm going to add this to the suggestion thread...maybe we could opt in or out to have "this image is not available for commercial licensing" on all our images.

I believe I got it to work and load my pictures. I now have to figure out how to set the right prices and some of my work looks awful on some items I guess I just have to play around with it awhile . thanks for all your help

I didn't opt into the licensing program so I'm not seeing this message,

It would DEFINITELY a misrepresentation in my case. I don't do ANY licensing through Pixels/FAA, but people contact me fairly regularly, and I license my images to them. I make more money licensing my images than I do by selling my prints! Most of my paid licenses are commercial in nature.

On the other hand, for that reason, I never opted in to the Pixels/FAA licensing functions. I don't see the message, and I sure hope my visitors don't. Where and how would the message occur, exactly?

Here's how that message pops up for me.

I did a search just of my name. A long list of pages as well as images came up, as expected. Some of them were surprising, however.

For example - http://licensing.pixels.com/featured/doe-in-springtime-cristolin-o.html

This goes to one of my images with "not available for commercial licensing" prominently displayed. It's not a big deal for me, since I'm not opting in to pixels or any other licensing. But for some, it could be a problem.

Not sure why the image shows up on pixels licensing anyway, since it's not available for licensing. Also not sure about the "featured" aspect in the url.
