Ha ha! That's there too if you want it, Marlene! We had talked about accentuating that somewhat, but I may be using this logo across a number of different things I do (like my writing, etc), so we decided not to pull out the "P" any more. But you're right! It's implied!

Just my 2¢ - the A looks more like an E

I might would have brought the tail (bottom part of the B) over towards the base of the A instead.

I did a search for logo designers a few days ago and the average price is around 45 bucks! I think a well designed logo goes far and is on my list of what's next to do.

45 bucks?! When I was a freelancer 15 years ago I charged $75 an HOUR for logo design. Have prices dropped that much???

I charged $25 an hour (haven't had any work in a few years though as I'm not actively pursuing it).

Hey Roy and Louise, It's hard for me to see the E since I was never trying to "figure it out" like a fresh audience is. Hm... I suppose I don't mind a bit of ambiguity. :)

Valerie, It has been suggested (although there are some politics involved at the agency she's currently at).

Oh sure there are so many hungry designers out there, both domestically and internationally, that one can get logos for disgraceful prices. Sometimes they're even pretty good. I don't envy those that are still in the game. I was a designer myself before I abandoned ship for theology ...another highly lucrative profession ;)

I guess you own your wife a nice dinner, or a special chore-free day. Maybe she'll read this and hold you to it! Hide the computer...

Regarding the ambiguity of letters, I might suggest a 3 color instead of a two color design.
Undershadow of the a is already white. Change that to some color, and undershadow the B in the same color. Now there may be less ambiguity? I'm a little skeptical that this would actually resolve the issue, though.

I think it is pretty elegant and she succeeded in giving you a brand uniqueness.
