Portfolio Images Not All Available For Contest Selection

Check the search bar to see if you have searched a certain word, that is one thing that will limit what shows...that has happened to me before.

The same thing used to happen to me all the time when I was new here with the search bar.

Well almost a year and am not new here. This does not happen all the time. But an awful lot the past few weeks.

It might just be a temporary glitch. If the contest has more time you might try later...or try a different browser not sure if that would help or not but might try that.

Thanks again Andee.....I tried Safari and Firefox...same thing..called a friend from here who is FAA member and she is having same problem...no more than 8 pages allowed .

With all the busy behind the scenes updates going on may be one of those things we have to endure for a bit.

Something to try If there is one image you are looking for to add. You might search your gallery for it. Then enter that title in the search bar of the contest and see if it shows up so you can select it that way for the contest.

I tried that 5 times Andee. It only worked 1 time. Thanks for this....

Dan, I'm confused as to your problem - the contest selection pages contain approximately 100 images per page. According to your portfolio, you have 734 images, which would almost fill 8 pages.

Don't be confused it is very simple.....there are not 100 images on my pages displayed in the screen shot. Hence maybe that is part of the problem???
Simple math Jane..No response from Tech Support yet and images when viewed in "Images" or Galleries are there but not when "join contest.

Folks here are trying to help you. No need for an attitude. It's hard for us to see the image you attached to know what is going on. I had never noticed how many images are on a page when you're selecting them for a contest, but it was 100 for me, too. I have roughly 670 images, so that means I had 7 pages showing up. Otherwise, as stated above, you search for the images you are looking for.

No attitude here Joseph. My contest page did NOT contain 100 images so maybe the poster should rephrase her answer to a more helpful post than insinuating that I cant count. Maybe she should have inquired "how many images are displayed on your pages in the screen shot??" That might be a good start correct?? Not all problems, as poster insinuates, are operator errors. Yes the initial post are things that I might have overlooked but being here just a year doesn't mean there can't be technical problems.

I was going to make the same suggestion as Jane. I have always noticed that when I select for contest entry, there are 100 images per page (16x6 + 4) whereas when I am viewing my entire portfolio for other purposes, there are about 25 per page. I do like the 100 images per page for contest entry option as it makes it much easier for me to find a specific image that I want to enter.
I open two windows, one is the contest and one is my portfolio (Images, not Gallery, view). I do a keyword search in my Images. I decide which image(s) I want to enter and note the number(s). Then I go to the submit to contest page, find it, and submit it.

Since we can't scroll down the screen shot to do the count, we can't tell what's on yours, Dan. Have you scrolled down the entire page and counted every row? I'm always surprised by the fact that it does not LOOK like 100 images, but it is :)

Edited to add: oops. Guess I am wrong. But I'll leave my message in case my approach simplifies contest entry for someone else. Sorry, Dan.

Good points Nikolyn> And I do EXACTLY as you do. I have 2 sometimes 3 links to FAA open so I can do exactly that. I did do a keyword search and it DID open that image BUT, again the screen shot I took did not show 100 images. Hence my "Discussion" question. I placed the image into the contest via the "keyword". But that doesn't rectify that there is a glitch. As I stated in my initial post I did take the time to call another local FAA member and she tried from her computer and it did the same thing. Now that is more than a coincedence. And none of the responders except the lady, though to at least post that they tried that and found as you did later on.
I am sorry that Joseph thought I had an attitude but on the other side of the coin, could not the poster have put a little more thought into her answer by asking a cogent question and not insinuating it is my error right of the bat?

If you could post the screen shot to your portfolio then copy and paste the link in this thread, it may help us a little better. If we still want to help.

Your entitled to your opinion whether it is valid or not as do I. Heh if you don't want to help then don't. But sanctimoniously repremanding me is not going to make this go away..and in fact as 1 poster already stated..a glitch..I am responding to my initial question and the answers..and it has gone away overnight AFTER I reported to Tech Support the problem.
