Personal Favorites

If you have a gallery with personal favorites, do you find that your images tend to sell any better?

No

Most artists don't really know what others find appealing about their own work. They may think it's one aspect but then find that the appreciator is drawn to entirely different aspects (or perhaps similar parallels) than the creator.

But if you mean a gallery labelled as Personal Favorites, I don't have one so can't really comment sorry (they're all my personal favorites, otherwise I wouldn't put them up)

I don't have a personal favorites or best sellers gallery. I don't want to influence a buyer.

Nope. Two of the three images I have sold here are not my faves at all. I don't have a Favorites gallery, but if I did, they would not have been in it.

Ok.....I just wondered. I've been told that if you have like a particular favorite photo or design, then a potential customer will also like it. Maybe that's not always true.

No. My favorite images, save for one, have never sold. But I have sold some things that I never really expected to.

I'm not sure a favorite gallery would be a good idea. I think it might give the impression that anything not in that gallery is somehow inferior.

I call it "recently sold" --- I can't say they are my personal favorite's. Sometimes I cringe when something sells. I think -- you picked that over THIS??? ;-)

.....

Besides, what sells is usually buried deep in my portfolio so I know they aren't finding it by looking through my port. More likely coming from search - internal or external.
