I think you are insulting a lot of folks here with only your opinion.

As far as labeling others as OCD is that our business? It is really insulting to give people labels.
And to give out labels to groups? Really?

An old axiom, if I am angry as someone for over 30 seconds, then really there is something wrong with me not them.
Of course I just figured out someone at work for a few years now has been lying about how tired he is. He does this to get out
of doing his job. He claims his first job working with his dad tires him out before he gets to working with us. His lie? He is hungover, we are just seeing this now. Working the
first job with his dad is cover for getting drunk and taking it easy the next day....days....weeks...years.....Yep I am at times pissed. But not at
groups of people. What's up with that?

I'd be willing to bet the average IQ here is a good bit higher than that of the general public. Artists are planners, thinkers, creatives
etc......why would you assume anyone here can not grasp something? Being entitled to a different opinion does not mean lack
of comprehension.

So since this is your thread, where are you going with this?

Intelligent people have the ability (in the majority of cases) to respond to a discussion intelligently. The thread? To keep the discussions more on point. More helpful. And more importantly, not to vent feelings and opinions that have little or nothing to do with the discussion.

because this forum is a discussion group not an interrogation. we are chatting, and it can stray. and OCD has nothing to do with it, i think your thinking of narcissism.

Many of us are guilty of not reading but scanning.
Abbie will testify to that, I am sure.
To exacerbate the problem, the written word is very limiting for true comprehension.
And some are easily distracted.

Most forums are far worse in my opinion. Abbie and JC keep this place running smoothly.

If it were just up to any of us to have our say, we'd all be talking over each other. I have seen
that all too many times on the net.

OCD, narcissism fancy words for not listening and having a lot of opinions to add regardless of whatever
is actually happening. Talking over the next guy.

We just had a thread full of all sorts of mischaracterizations. I rudely talked over the OP because the facts in the
original posts were not valid. Was I wrong? The OP wanted a like button to back up their ideas. The like button in
my opinion will be the death of the internet. Hitler was liked. Stalin like Putin had 95% approval ratings. Like schmike. Not
you Mike.

I admit it. I just skim large blocks of text. I went to business school. We were taught to get to the point. Wait, what is this about?

I live in a college town with a high population of overachievers. So many times my wife and I have commented on how our "conversations" with people we run into are basically us nodding our heads as they ramble on about themselves. We'll ask the other person questions, which they happily answer at length but never seem to pose any themselves.

Betya the ones you are talking about are the photos at lot of folks see as warnings not to bother attempting to post because they'll be shouted down by those always commenting on everything all the time...

Mostly it is just the internet Danl. Trolls are everywhere.

Marlene - I know we are too polite. Partly its my wife's business strategy. Who ever speaks first loses. You should see her buy a car. She'll sit there looking at the dealer's latest offer until the squirming sales guy can't take it any more.

Over at my folks place yesterday afternoon, dad was negotiating leaving Comcast for Frontier.
He kept giving away the store. The sales person had to keep biting their tongue.

".....Comcast is cheaper.....'
The sales person could have shouted BS or stay with Comcast then.
More importantly Frontier did not have to negotiate after that statement because dad kept on the
phone. Obviously Frontier was cheaper.

It went on from there.
