Kenlucky Basketball

I went to the university of Kansas, when Kentucky and Kansas met earlier this year I thought the season was over. Kentucky is the best college team I have seen in years!

Last year was a very good year. I was 51 and UCONN won.

Of course the Kentucky Women are not in contention.

What do you think of UCONN"s win the other night? I am back to talking men. The women don't lose ever, 'cept on a squeaker early in the season.

What is this basketball you speak of?

Last year's Witchita State team did not lose but one game. It was in the tourney. I don't expect Kentucky to go undefeated either, though I don't know who will trip them up. Being a South Carolina Gamecock fan, basketball holds us over between football and baseball, although the Lady Gamecocks are doing really good. They've lost two, but one of those was to UCON who, as David pointed out, tends not to lose.

I'm a huge fan - went to the Gamecocks game at Rupp Arena a few weeks ago. This team is really, really good. Best one I've seen in my 30+ years following them.

It will be interesting to see what they do in the NCAA tourney when they face better competition. The SEC is weak this year and they have had to squeak out a few wins against teams not in the top 25.

KENTUCKY is on a mission to bring home their 9th National Championship Title.

My only hope for Kansas is that in the years where they were considered really good they tanked in the tourney early. In years like this one where they are quite vulnerable they have often done better. Hope they don't wind up in the same bracket with Kentucky!

I don't follow college b'ball but this thread lends itself to a painting I did that speaks to the dreams many of these players may have had as boys growing up and getting to where they are now. Guess I've gotta cheer for UK as Wildcat was my high school mascot.

Kentucky has a basketball team?

The challenge for Kentucky's coaching staff will be finding enough playing time to satisfy 10 NBA prospects. A total of 9 McDonald's All Americans.

I hear a few of the Wildcat players demanded their contracts be renegotiated midseason.
