Views

Just a quick one, everyday i get views on my pictures, which is good but are they real views or just bots, ive not sold anything on FAA as of yet, maybe my work isnt what people are looking for or over priced. So i was just interested on whether or not the views are real or not ?

Hi Scott! How have you been bringing people to see your work? Are you promoting on social media; Facebook, Twitter etc? Maybe work on your bio a little. You are promoting yourself as a hobbyist. That may not be helping you.

Most are bots. It's good that they are indexing your work, but it's also best not to pay much attention to the views counter.

i am one of those people who don't look at view counts on images at all. I have google analytics active on my artist website page and use it to determine how many people have visited my site to see if my latest marketing attempts are making a difference. The only stat that matters is how much have you sold.

I see no correlation between views and sales. I started entering contests to increase my visibility and was able to boost "real" views. But, I've never been able to tie a contest view to a sale.

if you haven't sold it means you haven't been pushing your work or your work doesn't fit on anyone's walls. you have very few keywords and very low views. if you don't advertise no one will know your here. be sure to start people in galleries.

I like to look at the views tab in behind the scenes. After awhile, you figure out where the bots are,and can see which images are viewed by real people, and sort of figure out if they follow galleries, image timeline or are just one time fly bys.

To Mike:
I don't quite agree with you

I am pushing MY Items everywhere I can think of, like: Facebook, Etsy, Ebay, twitter, you name it, I been there since Month, the only sale I have out of it was 1 Greeting Card, and that from a very nice FAA Member.

I do have serious doubts about my paintings being good enough, they are "likeable" but not good enough for a sale.
