While reading the March/April 2015 issue of Art of the West magazine I came across this web site in attorney Bill Frazier's column "Law and the Art World". He recommends it "...for up-to-date copyright information" and goes on to say "This is the place to look first for information about what is copyrightable, fees, definitions, what is infringement, what are remedies, answers to many frequently asked questions, fair use, and many discussions of best practices."

I want to share this with other FAA members given the discussions started on this subject. I'm sure that many members are familiar with this web site, but again, like myself, there may be some who haven't heard of it and may want to file it away for future reference.

It's published by the United States government copyright office. Great source, comes directly from the people who make the copyright regulations in the US. For people operating in countries other than the US, they should be aware that the copyright law in their own country might be very different from what they find on this website.
