Love him. Sad to hear he passed.
We have the original series of Star Trek all three seasons. We watch it as a family from time to time.
My kid's will be sad to hear the news.
A truly bright light has gone out of the world today. I was happy to have met him at Mass MoCA during one of his Photography exhibits. He was a brilliant artist.
Out of Facebook posts and this thread, Roz is the first one to mention what I remember him from most, "In Search Of..." Never have been a Trekkie, but ISO seriously crept me out and kept me enthralled as a kid watching with my dad.
Interesting to watch as time takes some of our famous from yesteryear. Years ago (1970's), when I was involved in the typewriter industry (What happened to them?) I did some cleaning and repairs on his small typewriter. He lived in Santa Monica Canyon. I remember going to his home and realizing it was specifically created with the environment in mind. Lots of natural wood and great landscaping. Even had solar panels... way before solar was popular. Beautifully composed home.
Nimoy was also known as a fine artist who worked as a photographer.
His signature works involve nude photography showing forms and bodies of large females in a black and white venue. They are popular in galleries and quite expensive as well.
