From A Drawing To A Painting

I noticed the tree I sketched looked like a face. I painted the branches then the leaves and the blue background. I sketched out several backgrounds, painting my ideas but nothing worked. This painting drove me crazy. When I realized this this image was an Island everything fell into place.
