Going south.
Down to Gascon country,south-west France for three weeks.
Nothing else to do there but look after a house for an absent friend and feed her cat.
Taking my paints, etc - three weeks alone to paint - wow, bliss!!!

Off to the Federal Taphouse to score some Ithaca Beer Co Dark Vine IPA...then off the "The Himalayan" for some Vindaloooooo and Curry...if I don't freeze on the way to the car. Have a great weekend!

Tomorrow my wife and I are taking our grandson to "Snow Mountain", a winterized section of Stone Mountain (Near Atlanta, GA). They have an artificial hill for tubing, and a snow play area, as well as most of the "usual" entertainments. If it doesn't rain, it should be great. It'll be warm enough, hopefully not too warm.

Hubby will be graduating tomorrow from a Cafe Training Program that has helped him secure employment in a new profession. I will be attending his party at The Starfish Cafe (http://www.starfishcafebsl.com/).

The Los Angeles Art Deco Society is having a cocktail party at the historic Biltmore Hotel in downtown LA, so I may go to that.

Tomorrow I'll be attending a painting demo by Shanna Kunz in the afternoon then in the evening attending an awards ceremony for a local art show. Sunday I'll try to get in some time at the easel, unless the weather turns out to be better than forecast then I'll try to get some painting time in outdoors.

Too Damn Cold here to think about much else than keeping warm. It was somewhere around -20 something below here today I believe. I did get out today to retrieve a piece of art work that was in a show that ended and dropped off two more for a juried show that is beginning. The rest of the weekend I'll stay put and probably drink hot chocolate and some bourbon to keep warm. I also probably will be reading a book for a book club that I belong to.

Fran, Thanks for asking...still struggling...I measure every step with an ache. I swear, it didn't hurt at all when I broke it!
We've been doing spring cleaning all week and will continue throughout the weekend.

Going to walk in a 2 mile walk/dash in Aransas Texas. OUR weather is going to be gorgeous. I have been painting here for over 2 weeks by the ocean. ta da!

Texas Roadhouse & Hobby lobby for a few supplies tonight.

I'll be home painting ( watercolor - 24 x 36 , why did I say I could do it ? ) , with a chocolate cupcake for reinforcement.

Marlene, when I injured my foot ( snapped tendon) it took one full year to heal. No more pretty shoes for me.

Well we are also preparing for another major snowfall - the last couple days were around -35, so will probably not do much and I'll have a glass or two of Chardonnay please and thank you!

Pat: there are two boat-tour operations in Arransas, TX. Take the smaller boat, not the big catamaran. They get closer to the whooping cranes, generally, because they have less draft. That's my understanding. I took the tour on the smaller boat, after asking surveying locals and customers which was better. As I recall, the tour was in the $50 to $75 range, per person. About the same price on both. Call me at x0x-xx5-0y8y, if you wish.

We are having an early spring here on Vancouver Island, on Canada's west coast. Everything is blooming early, the sun is supposed to be shining tomorrow with temps in the 50's, so I am hoping to wander outside with my camera.

I had just bought 2 pair of killer stilettos. Never worn when I snapped my ankle. I can only look at them now.

Our Orange blossoms are budding, Waaaay to early. But, oh man, that fragrance is heavenly!

Eating the best pizza ever, having glass of wine, watching "John Wick" and celebrating a completed commissioned painting!

Yum, orange blossoms are one of my favorite scents.

This weekend I'm going to continue searching for two lost dogs. One has been missing for 10 days, the other for five months. It means hiking and/or driving a vast network of logging roads that cover acres and acres of land. Also along the powerlines. I've become obsessed. If people are to be believed, both dogs have been spotted recently.

I'll just have lots of water please!

Still hobbling around? Any idea when you'll be strolling/jogging/pacing without a limp?

Teaching tai chi, pruning roses and tidying up in the garden, making a fun sign I have been planning for a while that will be used for our bed and breakfast now that Barnet Boy has cut the wood to the right size and shape, starting at a blank canvas... I don't drink so make mine a cappuccino.
