Too Much Time Surfing & Not Enough Time Painting....

Is anyone besides me spending way too much time surfing the discussion board, and not enough time creating art?

Surfing is OK as long you are not suffering!

Alfred well put!

Cheryl, This is a great place to go when I want to take a break from creating ...sometimes informative and other times just funny...I think such a great community. I come here to see what everyone is talking about when I need to take a break...since I don't have much to say for the most part I don't get sucked in to deep. I think of it as entertainment but not a place to help sell my art. I guess like Alfred said if you are not suffering....

I'm at work, not much work to do, that is why I'm on here so much. I could stand to spend less time on the internet while at home though.

Most definitely went through that when I first started on FAA.......now I limit my time here.....More making art and less talking about it.

I go in spurts here...sometimes I'm on and involved on the forum quite a bit and then I disappear for a month or so and get back to business!

Well, I have this painting I'm supposed to do for a birthday thing. I can't seem to stop running my mouth (well, not mouth, that would be disgusting...keyboard fingers?) on here, though.

Yes, I think we have all been there. I'd rather waste time here than Facebook though, at least here the time wasted is still art related, for the most part lol.

I find I cannot paint at night, the colours are never as I want them. So that's the time I use the internet.

I poke around on here after I upload work and find many of the discussions productive and informative unlike Facebook where it used to be like a daily highschool reunion! Ha ha!

I have to take a break every hour or so or my back and legs start throbbing, not to mention my hands! Old age! I return from my short 10 minute walk and play on the computer for a few then it's back to work. This is my routine and it works well for me. You can't just sit and paint for eight hours straight, or I can't anymore. Too weathered!

Andy, if I couldn't paint at night I wouldn't be able to paint much at all, especially during the winter.

I know David, in winter with the short days and family commitments I find it hard to find any quality time for art.
I used to paint at night, but since I have changed house I find that the light is not the same and I find that discouraging.
