Website Recommedations For Blogging

Can anyone recommend a decent free website (that accepts codes) other than our free websites associated with FAA where I can use it to blog and sponser other's art work in order to get on the main FAA advertising page and get in the FAA search engine? I tried one but it wouldn't accept the written codes for the images.

I use google blogger and it lets me plug in the code for photos and the little shopping cart thing too.

I started with Tumblr. I only half like the format, but I did not follow through. I am not a writer by nature.
Tumblr is the most popular site of its kind. I do not fully know the ins and outs of it.
