i like the v600 because of the depth of field it has, but there might be better ones. that one is on the old side. i don't know what version comes with program, but i doubt it will have align in it, so you'll still need a stitcher, which might come with it as well. you'll have to scan it in sections. do one piece at say - 600-1200dpi (this will make a huge file, but your scanning this for the future in case you sell the original). and do it one chunk at a time scanning the next strip, with about a 1/3rd overlap. then stitch it up.
it depends how large is large.
