What will be bad is when all of that snow begins to melt.

what's bad isn't the shoveling, it's when you hit that frozen spot or weed and it just fires through your whole body. i'm just hoping to keep the power. and i saw more snow for next week at least in my area.

So sorry Lori, was just viewing the news and see that more is coming your way. Hang in there. Out here in Calif we would do almost anything for a good snow fall.

Just talked to my son in Boston, he and friends are on their way out to dinner. Oh to be young again, NOT!! Good luck from the South.....

We are in the same boat as Ca. I live right in the heart of Ski country here in Utah, and, no kidding, our grass is turning green, not supposed to do that in Feb.

Good one Mike I think we could make tons of $$ shipping snowmen to who ever will pay!!! Haha
All joking aside it really has been the worst for me since the storm of "78" that was a real historical storm. I was a teen and it was scary!
I lived across from the shore and you felt like it was the end of the world. :(

last year was bad for us, this year its bad, but we are getting melt each week. i don't think we will get that much snow from this system, though you never know. its the wind that may be the issue. and or if the frozen stuff on the lawn starts to break up, that could be a problem. but i don't think that will happen. it's pretty frozen to the ground.

got a new shovel, wore down the old one, i only use plastic. we live on a corner so i have to shovel twice as much. plus the corner sidewalk, or whatever wall the plow made.

Lori I can imagine you are really sick of it... I am glad not to be in Boston! I guess you will get the worst of it... again. Just looked out and it is snowing...yuck!

Yes Val I am right on the coast. I look out my door and all I see is white! Like a white out! But the ocean really gets crazy. There have been past storms where the ocean came down the streets. There where lobsters and all kinds of sea creatures all over the streets it is really amazing how fast weather can change. Actually it can be very frightening when you see the ocean steps from your door.

I can imagine that you are getting tired of the snow. It´s unbelievable to see the pictures in the news of your area! We never have any snow here in Seattle, and would love to have some for a change. So far we had the warmest winter on record and it already feels like spring since January...

It is wild! Put on the Weather Channel. Jim Cantore is broadcasting from my hometown of Plymouth, Massachusetts.

The guy can't contain his excitement. Earlier this morning, he was over the top with the thundersnow occurence six times. You would have thought he won a sports championship. The Weather Channel keeps repeating it.

Lori, you must be very close to the shore if the water and crustaceans are washing up the streets. Take care and evacuate if you are feeling threatened.

Thankfully, I am 1/2 mile from the ocean and far up on a hill.

Take care everyone.

I love snow as an artistic motif. I hate it as a reality.

Dear, dear Lori;

Seems the weather is completely bassakwards this year. I'm from Salt Lake. Remember the 2002 Olympics? Tons of snow. One event had to be canceled for a day because it was snowing so hard. I watched the Foo Fighters in long johns, snow pants, wool turtleneck that went down to my ass, underneath was a warm vest and a turtleneck. On top I had a coat that an entire herd of geese had given their lives for, lined goat hair knee boots, wool hat and two pair of gloves. Froze that ass off! Had to undress at the bar after.

November starts the snow and it does not end until May. People ski then golf on the same day.

This year we had one teeny storm in November and haven't had squat since. Being a desert state we really need it too. I haven't had the chance to wear my new down coat, a hoodie is sometimes too warm.

It's nuts! Your side of the states must be suffering from global "warming". ;)

Keep shoveling. I hate when the place where your putting the snow is too high to throw! Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. We've had some horrendous spring floods too.

I'm feeling your pain.

David, loved the video.......the music was great too! One of my favorite songs. Thank you for posting.

We have been lucky in Southern Ohio so far this year but they are predicting heavy snowfall tonight through Tuesday. Hope it misses us again.

The snow drift at the end of our driveway is now higher than the nearby 6 foot stockage fence. In the back, the snow is higher than the deck. We are running out of room to put all this stuff.

No end in sight :(

Had an mini avalanche at the end of driveway this morning. The snow has been so powdery it just doesn't pack down and its so hard to throw over the piles. But lots of free exercise. Plus it saved me from spending money on Florida vacation by trapping me here in its grips.

Hang in there, Lori! Spring will be here...someday! We are in the VA mountains, our early morning temp was 0, wind chill -26, winds 32mph. Our daughter and her family live in Alaska. Our temps were lower than theirs.

Janice: RE: "Jim Cantore" ~ We loved his excitement :) We still laugh every time they show it.

I feel you pain. Just got back from Key West...to Pa. Makes for a tough transition...right off the washer drain freezes and dumps a load of water all over the laundry..take me back the warm aqua waters of the Keys.
