no. i wouldn't let it go that way the compression and noise issues are problematic. there is no clarity at all in this, you can zoom on the head in the middle and see blocks and blurriness. paint it.

I see 3 choices here, paint it, reduce the size available or throw a filter over it, like Topaz Impression. It's a good shot and I would keep it,

Thanks Mike and Rich. I thought that it was too grainy. I agree Rich, when I saw the photo I thought it was one of the best that I have ever taken. As far as composition anyhow. I do not have topaz impression, is that a free one?

I agree with both Mike and Rich.... One thing I would try is to add a texture overlay to it. I do that for certain shots I really like that are like this. It sometimes will hide the dirty pixels and artifacts/blur. Sometimes I also add a texturizing brush detail to it. Very pretty photo though!

You could try putting it into Adobe Photoshop and filtering it with "cutout", with a high # of levels and low edge of simplicity?

You can send me the file and I'll add a Topaz filter. Topaz is about $100 or so, but it goes on sale for around $75. Almost everything I do now gets Topazed!

If you send the file, let me know what "look" you think you would like, or I'll just try afew and then you can choose,

phyllis, your own style of painting these birds is just so much better than any topaz filter or DAP run through ever could be. paint it!

I have to agree with Menega, if I had your talent I would just paint all day long...so to speak.
I had one I really loved, it was of Sand hill cranes it looked like 4 of them were bowing down to one, like he was the king or something, I took it in the driving rain, and they were far away, the artifacts in it looked just like yours here!!
Paint it, you will be glad you did!!!

How can you compare? Gawd! Imagine a glorious hand-painted image of this scene you knew to be so special...compared to some scratchy,over-tooled poor second/electronic file !

I guess that I feel the same way about painting it. After all, that is what I do best and I am actually looking forward to the challenge. Thank you all for the help and offers of helping me especially Rich, that was above and beyond sweet.

WOW! Rich, I can not believe what you managed to do. You are a genius. I placed your work next to the original so others can see your magic. I would recommend anyone that needs the same contact Rich. By the way, what is your fee for doing this for future bad photos that I will take?

Thank You so much! I enjoyed working on your image. I think I might charge $10 for working on an image, to get it to this point, $5 just to do the minimum stuff, cleaning,cloneing, rotation,sizing,saturation,stuff like that,

I would probably suggest that you delete the largest print size, since this had some serious issues to start with and keep the largest size at 60" or so,

TL< I am going to paint it still. I may just offer it either version. Who knows? I really do like what Rich did but the painter in me is crying out. I've already sketched it on canvas so no turning back now.... Just have to finish this commissioned piece first. Thanks for loving my work!!!
