Yes!

i have a hard time believing that a porn site would use your images to get people to their site. considering people that like to see naked people - would be attracted to images of that. your work is already all over the web, it doesn't need a bot. and yes, a bot can look at it all at once.

Cathy, I found my stuff on a porn site as well, when I googled my name. They even used my profile pic! ( ewwww)

I sent a DCMA takedown to the provider, but I suspect it's a foreign company. It was ignored. So frustrating,

Yes Mike, a few porn sites have taken my work from here. Found them using reverse image search, big and bold right there on there site with porn stuff going on all around. And FAA watermark right there, big and bold! Pretty gross! They mostly take my mermaids.

I have no idea why they would do this, but they do, as confirmed by Melany. Thank you Melany;)

i never even look. its just another thing that would waste my time. i only care about people looking at work and buying work. anything else is moot.

BTW, the images I have found on the porn sites, are the full size, high resolution screen shots, showing the FAA watermark, that can ONLY be taken from here. The image path even directs back to here. Wish I knew how to stop it. I don't like my name and art being connected with a porn site.

Anyway, hoping this is just a bot! Bots are good!

Yesterday Tucson hit just about every one of my images.Seems it was an FAA day for them. They must have gotten stuck on your image. Cathy, have you filed a dmca notice to them?

Phyllis, were they a bot from Tucson, or are you having porn site issues too? Yes, I've filed, or tried, but none of their contact links work. And I feel like I am picking all kinds of creepy crawlies while in there looking for it. Just ick!

Now, if this is a bot from Tucson, they I don't mind them hitting each image. That is good, right? Wish I knew how to tell.

Seems like it would bring the site down with all of that activity.

you have little control over what a bot does even if you discover them. and you have to have bots. anyone can get the image from here, google or any other place the image was copied from. i'm sure scrapers take the images anyway. though it still makes you wonder why they would get them in the first place. i can't believe they ran out of material.

Just checked the ip address and it is Qwest Communications Company in Tucson. And yes, I have found my work before on a porn site, when I clicked on it, my computer caught a virus so I never went back. I also know what you mean about the link not working with filing a dmca report. I have a site that I have been going round and round with for almost a year. They ignore me and every time I make a dmca complaint, it comes back that the link is not good. I just sent them an invoice for $1,250.00 through paypal. Lets see if that wakes them up! And again, you implied you don't believe me. Please, if you can't be helpful in your replies, then just don't. The few times I have come on here and asked a question, you have come back with rather insulting respones. Not at all helpful. And I hate myself for responding.

its not that i don't believe you, i just wonder why the sites would take the work in the first place. i don't think i ever said anything that would be considered insulting. it wasn't full of flowers either.

Mike - they have sites that are along the Pinterest type of post anything you like - & porn is included.

So my "Sunflower - Joy" has a gardening type link to it - right back to porn. My Arabian horses & Purple zebra...
People are apparently very eclectic in their taste when they are perusing.

The problem is when they rank much higher in the Google searches. Click on the picture - & what are people going to think ? Do you think they will continue to search for us ...

Cathy, I do not think that I implied that I do not believe you, on the contrary, I was saying that those things have happened to me too! I am sorry if you read what I was saying or if I worded something incorrectly. (Dat darn New Orleans language slips out all da time!) :O

but if it happens then it happens, not much you can really do about it. even if you knew bots did those things - you would have to remove all your work to prevent it.

I think the mystery might be solved as to the visit to every one of my images last night. I see today that my store is all switched over to the new version. Is FAA based out of Tuscon perhaps? Anyway, I hope it's all good! Thanks everyone!

I did a search as well and found some of my paintings also linked to porn sites!!

JoNel, Melany, Phyllis and any others finding their work on porn sites...... I think, hope, I may have found a solution. About 10 days ago I sent google a whole link showing a page full of my art taken direct from FAA on the porn site, asking Google to remove it. They have a box you can check for porn sites.

I noticed yesterday, while reverse image searching those images, a paragraph at the bottom of the search page stating that some links have been reported and removed due to child abuse or pornographic use. And I didn't find the icky links on there. I'm sure not going back to the icky virus site to find out.

So.............. I am very hopeful that Google put a stop to this. If everyone reports theirs to Google, maybe will shut them down. It would be nice if FAA could better protect from this also, as it sullies their name as well as ours.

Some may not see this as a problem, but when you have your hard earned name and reputation showing there, coming up on a porn site, to us, it IS a problem, and it should NOT be allowed to happen. It is just wrong, and disgusting!

Yes Melany, I found it through the "contact us" link. I remember it was a struggle trying to get anything to come up. And I may have just sent google an email with the link to the porn site. I thought I gave up and forgot about it, and hadn't heard anything back. But then saw that yesterday while searching. All my links to zazzle and faa showed fine, but nothing to the porn site. The verdict is still out............. but I am hopeful. And again, if enough of us report it, maybe Google will shut them down. Or at least remove our any connection to us, including our NAME and PHOTO's, that's just wrong!

And for any that haven't seen these porn sites, they have VERY graphic videos going on all around our work. Mine shown on there are FULL size high resolution image, showing my signed name clearly, and Fine Art America, clearly. And you can right click and save it at full resolution. That can ONLY be taken from the page here at FAA. Imageor google searches do not provide it that large and high of a resolution. If they did, I would not choose to have my work here. So this is a problem in many ways.

FAA, could you perhaps make images shown on each art page, smaller? Does it have to be so big? With a zoom in tool so people could see close ups, without being able to save the full image? This is the only place I am having this problem with. I really really love it here, and so far, this is the only problem.
