How Do I Rotate A Portrait When I Upload?

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to rotate my portrait photos when I upload without editing them first. They always come up as landscapes and the only way I can get the portrait is the edit them in my very basic editing suite, which always results in a significant loss of file size. Any tips greatly appreciated.

You can correct them in your picture files? You don't need an editing program. If you have Windows, go the the photo and open it there there will be a way to adjust the photo.

you have to edit them on your side. it won't flip them automatically as it does in windows and such.

picmonkey.com is one of the few online basic editors that does not reduce the file size. They have a web version and soon an app.

For Mac, I've heard Pixelmator for iPad is becoming the new Apple Aperture, if you will. Can't help you with PC though .....

You might want to consider editing them to get rid of noise/grain, to rotate or just make them pop. Or just being able to check on focus issues first.

Greg, if you use Windows you don't even need to open the file to rotate it. While browsing your files in your folders, choose the picture you want to rotate, right-click it and choose "rotate right" or "rotate left" in the menu. Or "rotate clockwise" / "rotate counterclockwise". Depending on your Windows version it might say one thing or the other.
